What’s this? An update?

It’s been awhile, I didn’t really realize it till now, but the Club Firestorm members have been getting a lot more love than you guys. Well, that all changes now. Sort of. Let’s get the cheap plug out of the way first.

Club Firestorm has had several very recent (as in tonight) changes. You’ll notice them immediately by visiting the Exclusive Content section(s), and the wrestlers section. The discounted content and free clips are going to be following suite later this week. I think it’s just a better method overall for displaying content, and making sure everybody can see exactly what they’re looking for.

Incase you’re on the fence about it… why join Club Firestorm? This is why

I’ve done 2 pro shows in the last month, which is pretty much what I’ve done per year for the past couple years. I’m feeling pretty good, my knee has held up just fine. Granted, I’ve changed up the way I wrestle slightly, so I’m minimizing the risk involved. I’ve also been going to pro training every Monday at a local school. It’s not the most prestigious place to train, but it’s close by and there’s a lot of rookies. Coaching people up is something I enjoy, and being at a more inexperienced school has given the the opportunity to do just that. I don’t necessarily want to be considered a trainer, but I do like pulling people aside, and give them my two cents. So far everybody has been very receptive, and eager for me to help them, which is nice. Almost makes me feel like I know what I’m talking about. Most of them aren’t destined for anything other than local, weekend warrior VFW status, which is fine, but one or two of them do have the potential to make something of themselves. I’d also be lying if I said the appeal of going to a new school full of rookies wasn’t about recruiting new talent, and beating up jobbers 🙂

I’ve been dieting and working out almost as strictly as I was when I lost all that weight a couple years back. I’ve been in the gym (and killing it by the way) just as much, the diet has proven to be a bit more of a struggle. I’m taking a day or two where I definitely go over my numbers for the day, but for the  most part I’m on point. I’ve lost 15 lbs already, I feel pretty good, I think I definitely look better, and I plan on sticking with it for another month or two, just so I can get the abs back in time for summer. Just kidding, sort of. It’s mostly just so I can be happy with the way I look. I don’t mind being a little beefy, it’s easy to do with my height, adding on 5 lbs is very notable when you’re 5’5 as opposed to 6’0. My clothes weren’t fitting right, my belly was jiggling while having sex, it was time for a change it up for a bit. So fans of fit Jonny, get ready, because there’s no telling how long it’ll last once it happens. Fans of beefy Jonny, no worries. There’s plenty of archived footage, and let’s be serious, it’s not going to last, I love beer, and junk food entirely too much. Plus, football season starts in September, game over diet. However, as I write this I’m ending a night where I had a perfect diet, but had a couple beers too many. The carbs alone put me over my numbers by a ton. Need to regroup tomorrow.

I’m kind of nerdy, not full blown, but nerdier than most. I can’t wait for this summer’s lineup of superhero movies. Batman vs. Superman followed up by Captain America: Civil War is going to be super bad ass! Game of Thrones can’t come soon enough, and the Walking Dead feels like things are really about stop start picking up. Can’t forget about DareDevil this Friday on Netflix!

I’m supposed to be having a sleep over with the one and only Cameron Matthews on Thursday. Some St. Patty’s Day festivities at the end of the night, but first, we’re going to be inviting a select group of New England pro’s to my personal ring space to work out with us. It should be a really fun night, anytime we get together is. Cam even showed up to my last pro show with a “Jonny 3:16” sign. lol.

I recently had my first taping since my knee injury. I wrestled in 5 matches, which was about 2 1/2 horus of ring time. It was a lot of fun, definitely helped build my confidence back up. Some of the other in attendance were Kayden Keller, Drake Marcos, Ty Alexander, Chet Chastain, Charlie Evans, Brice Moore, Ethan Andrews, and Biff Farrell. It’s always good to get a bunch of people together to wrestle, but I also really enjoy the social interaction. Plus, being crammed into a hotel room together, and sharing a bed with Biff is never a bad thing.

I’m talking to some brand new wrestlers, so expect to see some brand new faces (like, really brand spanking new) pop up soon. I’m also working on getting some of those elusive dram matches put together, Chet Chasten vs. Aryx Quinn anybody? So hopefully you’ll be seeing more of those soon.

Well, it’s way past my bedtime, I need my beauty rest! Surer sleepers to all Firestormers, and to all a goodnight!

Top 10 wrestlers I’d like to wrestle. Part 1.

I’m bringing this blog post back from the past, part 2 will be later on this week. I’m going to be very busy this week with a mix of BG East tapings, and stuff for the Firestorm site, and Club Firestorm. Expect a full update after things settle down next week! For Club Firestorm Members, a new Exclusive match, free video clip, and photo gallery has been added. You’re also going to get another added bonus at some point this week!

I’ve stepped into the ring, or on the mat with a modern day who’s who of BG East wrestling. But, I haven’t locked up with everybody on my personal “to do list”. Some wrestlers have retired, others have managed to slip through my fingers. Here’s my top 10 wrestlers I’d like to sink my teeth into. This blog post will feature wrestlers #10-6.

Honorable mentions: Beau Nasty, Gabriel Ross, Shane McCall, TNT, Bryan, Wade Cutler, Greg Leary, Rafe Sanchez, Kid Vicious, Dark/Scott Rogers, Kid Brock, Biff Farrell, Cameron Matthews, and Chet Chastian.

#10- Vinny Trevino

Boxing stud Vinny Trevino

Vinny beat out Dark/Scott Rogers for my #10 spot. Look at him, you’d be hard pressed not to include him in a top 10 list for anything. His pecs, abs, arms, legs, and back, the guy was built like a brick shit house. He wasn’t a pushover either. He displayed his boxing talent in several of his matches, using those skills to put a beating on Patrick Donovan in Gut Bash 2. Just the idea of stringing him upside down in the corner, and beating on those abs, or tying him in the ropes, and pounding on those big, beefy pecs is what really earned him the 10 spot.

#9- Morgan Cruise

A potential challenge in Morgan Cruise?

A potential challenge in Morgan Cruise?

He nearly beat me out for “Heel of the Year” in the BG East awards one year. I’d like the chance to put him to the test. With Morgan it’s not about appearances or desire. It’s about the challenge. He would be a very formidable opponent for me, he’s strong, he has a sadistic streak, and he’s proficient with his wrestling skills. It would be a fun battle.

#8-  Troy Baker

Ultra ripped Fantasyman Troy Baker

Like I really need to get into why. He’s Troy fucking Baker, look at him. The things I would do to that body.

#7-  Scott Williams

Jobber of the millennium, Scott Williams

Jobber of the millennium, Scott Williams

No need to adjust your monitor, nothing’s wrong with it. Nope, not a typo. It’s not April 1st either. I’m not sure why he’s on this list to be honest. With a face a mother couldn’t love, the body of an underdeveloped Proboscis monkey (which does resemble Scott, look at that nose), and non existent wrestling skill, he wouldn’t pose much of a challenge. I’ve heard his screams of submission echo through the BGE arena more times than I care for. The match would be fun though, his reluctance to submit, and the never ending nonsensical babble that comes out of his mouth, would only help motivate me to perform one of the best squash jobs BG East would ever see. Too bad this one will never happen. Retired would be an understatement, he’s border line extinct. Last I heard, Scott was on display at the Smithsonian.

#6- Lane Hartley

Hunky rookie Lane Hartley

Hunky rookie Lane Hartley

Ruggedly handsome, and highly skilled, Lane Hartley exploded onto the BGE landscape by dismantling Brad Barnes. Lane’s comparable to Donnie Drake in my book. Hopefully for me, the outcome of our match wouldn’t be the same as the match with Donnie. I’m always up for a challenge, and I have no doubt Lane has what it takes to push me to my limit. I’ll be lining up at Kid Leopard’s door asking for this match. I think Lane’s inexperience in BG style wrestling would ultimately be his downfall. One strategically time crotch claw would probably throw him off his game, and give me an opening to put him down for the count.

Ringwars 24, FL, CF update

For those of you who haven’t had a chance to check out BG East’s latest set of releases (109.1), you should do so at www.beast.com

You’ll see your friendly neighborhood Firestorm is in action on Ringwars 24, against Rory MacLeod. Truth be told, I don’t recall much about this bout.

I’m guessing it was the start of my gradual decent into my beefier years, hence the singlet. Looking back on it now, it’s not like I was in bad shape. Hell, you can still see abs in this picture!

I think the photo selection on the website is slightly misleading. I could be wrong, but I don’t recall the match being that one sided. I remember feeling that this was a strange bout for me at the time, because I didn’t particularly care for Rory that much. It’s not that I disliked him, but I was indifferent. It’s easier for me to get excited for matches if I have some connection with my opponent, or there’s something about the match that I find interesting. Whether it’s some match type, or personal goal that I want to accomplish. Not that my desire to destroy all who dare to step in the ring with me isn’t motivating enough.

I don’t remember who won, so if you’ve seen the match, shoot me an email and let me know!

I’m also excited to see the release of Guido Genatto vs. Chet Chastain from Fan Fantasy 3. Guido’s an incredible heel (Club Firestorm members just got an exclusive reminder of that), and Chet is one of the best new prospects to come along in awhile. He’s handsome, skilled, has a great body, and the attitude to have long successful BG East career. That being said, he’d be wise to avoid matches like this if he wants a long career. Guido mops the floor with the stud, in what could possibly be the sexiest match that both wrestlers will ever take part in. It’s a must own if you’re a fan of either.

The other match that you can’t go wrong with is Kip Sorell being repeatedly KOed by Zach Reno, in Sleeper Surrender 1. Kip is the epitome of perfection, it’s almost unfair that one person can have that much going for him. So it’s great to see Zach make him suffer for being such a pretty boy.

I just got back from my trip to Florida. It was a busy, but rewarding trip. We filmed a lot of new BG East matches, I was able to get some Jonny matches done, and celebrate with Drake Marcos for his birthday. We went to the Manor for his birthday with a small group that consisted of me, Drake, Kayden Keller, Rolf Fulton, a BGE rookie, and a friend of ours.

I also updated Club Firestorm with several new photo galleries, free video clips, exclusive matches, and free streaming videos. Expect a CF Members blog soon, with a couple more behind the scenes photos.

I wasn’t able to get any sleep last night, so I’m about to take a nap. Till we meet again, Firestormers!

A little late

I’m posting this a little later than I wanted to, mainly because I’ve been busy this week finishing up a project I teased on my blog at the beginning of the year. I’m starting to see a pattern here, lol. It should be finished up tomorrow and I’ll have photos up in a blog after this weekends shoots.

I’ve been on the injury report all this week as well, thankfully I’m starting to come around now. I was fighting off a bad cold earlier this week and I somehow injured my neck. It felt like a strain, I just know it hurt to move for most of the week. I’m finally able to move it pain free and with full range of motion. My gym goals took a hit this week as a result, but I’ll get myself back on track.

I have a busy remainder of the week. Tomorrow I’m going up to BG East of film some matches with a hot new guy and one of our newest superstars. Friday, I’m doing a small custom match taping, and then Saturday I’m going to hang out with Cameron & company.

Speaking of custom tapings, I’ll have these guys kicking around for a couple days. We might have room to get a couple more matches in. So send those scripts in!

Kayden Keller, Lon Dumont, Dolph Danner, Biff Farrell, Ty Alexander, and of course I’m available as well.

I’m also very close to announcing a couple more projects I’ve been working on. These ones won’t take 4 months to finish, I promise. I’d expect the debut to be in the next couple weeks. Some really cool stuff is on the horizon. Speaking of that, I’ve been talking with Cameron about doing some joint trips together. West coast, the UK, etc. When we hammer out dates, I’ll post them here.

For those of you who haven’t checked out BG East’s latest set of releases, go do so! www.bgeast.com Catalog 108 has been released and it features some hot new hunks and it has one hell of a star studded line up. Heel Bash 1 is probably my favorite of the bunch, it has two hot pros, Chet Chastain and Dolph Danner, who are making their BGE debuts, Guido Genatto (who is quickly becoming one of my favorite heels to watch) taking on Ethan Axel Andrews, and Big Barry Burke squashing pretty boy, Rofl Fulton. Another can’t miss debut is Biff Farrell’s on the Lon Dumont spotlight. Biff’s the prototypical college jock. He looks great, he knows it, but he’s got a little ways to go before he can step in the ring against a seasoned veteran like Lon Dumont and come away with the win. I practiced with Biff a little after he finished wrestling Lon, and he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with once he catches on. Notice I said once, not if. He’s a stud, a natural athlete, who picks up on wrestling very easily. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t a candidate the boss calls up to smash poor unsuspecting jobber boys by the end of the year. Once his skills get up to par, I’d like to have a go with him.

Off topic, but I can’t wait to see this.

That’s it for now Firestorm fans!
